In the past Pemuteran reefs have suffered greatly from damage by destructive fishing and the El Nino effect. Pemuteran village residents have taken action to prevent use of these destructive methods in their reefs, whether by locals or by outsiders.
Coral nurseries were built using the Electrolytic Mineral Accretion Technology, which provide unique advantages for restoring coral reefs. Corals grown on mineral accretion are exceptionally brightly coloured and rapidly growing, and support dense fish populations. The coral nursery structures are made of welded construction steel bars, of around 1 centimetre diameter. They are built in a variety of shapes. The success of these structures in stimulating rapid coral growth was apparent within months, leading to requests to greatly expand the project. All structures are charged by power supplies located on the adjacent land. More than 60 Biorock coral nursery structures have been installed since June 2000 in Pemuteran Village. With a total length of 300 metres situated in an area of 2 hectares: this is the largest Biorock coral reef nursery and restoration project worldwide. These structures are located in an area parallel to the shore, about 50-100 metres from the coastline, in waters ranging from about 3 to 7 metres deep. They are roughly lined up, forming a natural snorkelling and diving trail.More Info
Canggu Club in Bali is an expanding world-class sports and leisure complex, located within the island’s expatriate Canggu community area. Spanning 3.54ha, it houses several different facilities onsite, including a waterpark, a world-class fitness centre, tenpin bowling alley, tennis centre, kids club, spa, the island’s largest trampoline centre that is not just for kids, and multiple food and beverage outlets.
The club started off as an answer to the demands of expats living in the area looking for high quality leisure and a one-stop sports centre, and as private members club. Over time, in October 2014 there was a big push to attract non-members to some areas of its new fun facilities. Now, slightly renamed as ‘New Canggu Club’ it welcomes all, including locals and visitors, and has become a much popular weekend destination for families and holidaymakers staying around Canggu and Seminyak.More Info

So property is amazing, has a great swimming pool, an open space for hangouts and nice bedrooms with private bathrooms. I especially liked the great effort put in decorating this villa. You find nice surprises and details at every corner!
We stayed at Villa Kalis in August 2017 and we absolutely loved it! We were 8 couples and had the time of our lives! The space is huge, the living area super accommodating, we had drinks by the pool area every night, and loved the unique design each of the rooms had! The villa is located super central in Seminyak but once you're in the villa you feel like in your own piece of heaven, super quiet, and with an amazing garden! Excited to come stay again!
What a beautiful property. Big pool, spacious gardens and lots of chill out areas. I live the styling, so artistic . Fantastic location, walking distance to all the best shops, bars and restaurants. Such a quiet space. We will definitely be back.
I spent a week in this beautiful villa in September. It is a magical corner, protected with greenery from the typical Balinese architecture topped with a touch of contemporary design. The pool is crazy and the rooms are one more beautiful. The staff is extremely friendly and discreet. I have been alone for a few days and I thoroughly enjoyed the security service present all night. The highly recommend. It was a great week.
We felt like we had opened a secret door to paradise when we first arrived - down a pretty little street in the backstreets of central Seminyak, you open a door to reveal beautifully curated gardens and contemporary interior spaces with a nod to traditional Balinese style, surrounding the huge swimming pool. Our stay was comfortable, with friendly and attentive staff at hand this place has thought of everything. Each room has a different theme, all with bathrooms, showers are hot & work well unlike so many places in Bali, and the villa is located less than 5 minutes walk from the beachfront, and some of the best shops & restaurants on the Island. We stayed for 2 weeks with our 22 month old daughter. The place is child friendly and provided us with a cot, high chair and even some beach toys. The wifi was reliable, and we were able to book a chef, treatments and massage at home, and there are spaces especially designed for yoga & meditation too.
